You only have to go as far as exploring the attractions at the Werner Wildlife Museum, a facility that is affiliated with Casper College. Several incredible creatures are featured as stuffed and mounted representatives of the various species from the area. See grizzly bears, mountain lions, and birds of prey. The museum also includes displays of animals from Canada, Alaska, Africa, Southeast Asia as well as other exotic places from around the globe.

Nature lovers usually can't sit still for long, and that's why the Platte River Parkway Trail is so appealing for many people who live in Casper. This trail system runs approximately ten miles in length, east to west through the Casper community, connecting many parks and recreation areas. The trail is popular with walkers, runners and folks out to enjoy a day of outdoor recreational activities on land or on the river. There's also plenty of wildlife to view from either the trail or the lakeside.

You'll love knocking down the pins at Casper's Sunrise Lanes bowling center. This great bowling facility is proudly smoke-free and is the perfect place for the whole family to enjoy. The recreation facility accommodates leagues, hosts parties and offers youth programs. There are special events planned all year, but one of the most popular is "glow in the dark" bowling.
