Beartrap Summer Festival Beartrap Summer Festival

Held every third weekend in July, Casper's Beartrap Summer Festival is not only the benchmark that signals the midpoint of the summer, it is a tuneful celebration that draws attendees from all over the area. Since 1994, this festival has made the Casper Mountain area ring with the breezy sound of bluegrass music, and you're sure to see some of the genre's most famous performers on stage. Also, there's plenty of food and fun for the kids. Don't miss the market area where artisans from all over display their wares and add to the unique fun of this highly popular event.

Fort Caspar Museum Fort Caspar Museum

It's not often that a museum possesses the impressive scale and multi-dimensional impact that the Fort Caspar Museum does. This museum defies the conventional concept of a museum as it is a collection of reconstructed buildings on the original location of Platte Bridge Station and Louis Guinard's Platte Bridge. These structures amazingly replicate their original appearance, and in addition to this stunning display, the museum also features various cultural and natural history exhibits of Central Wyoming.
