The campus is governed by the 19 Pueblos District, a sovereign government formed by the Tribal Councils of the 19 New Mexico Pueblo Communities. Join them in celebrating New Mexico's Pueblo culture through creative and cultural experiences that provide economic opportunities to Pueblo and local communities. Take advantage of this unique opportunity to experience the heart and soul of Pueblo culture.
Visit the Ice Cave and Bandera Volcano, "The Land of Fire and Ice," on the Continental Divide. Walk through ancient lava trails into the cave and volcanic rim. The cave's natural ice layers illuminate the arctic algae. See the best examples of volcanic eruption in the country and explore the historic Ice Caves Trading Post. The trading post features ancient artifacts, local art, and a museum of artifacts recovered from the surrounding areas. There's a rock shop and souvenirs available for sale. Enjoy a cozy dining room and two trails from the Trading Post's front.
