The beautiful building is almost 100 years old and features portraits and bronze busts of past governors, murals, the official state seal, and an exquisite cupola covered in 24-karat gold, among other attractions and facets of interest. While visiting the capitol, be sure to walk the grounds around the building. The land surrounding the capitol holds various memorial statues and figures, along with flourishing gardens.

The 33-acre park sits along on the south bank of the Arkansas River and is home to a number of sculptures, gardens, state historical information, the Junction Bridge landmark, and much more. There's plenty to see and do as a family at this park, we recommend you set aside a day or two to really experience it.
