Develop your green thumb with skills learned from the professionals you'll meet at the Arkansas Flower & Garden Show. Over 100 landscaping and gardening vendors participate in the event, offering "how to" advice, tips for gardening, plants and yard décor to beautify your backyard, and more. You'll leave this festival a more knowledgeable horticulturist, with some loot to make your garden look good.
Take the kids to monkey around with the animals at the Little Rock Zoo. The zoo is home to over 725 animals, living in habitats that mimic their natural environments. Giraffes, gorillas, rhinos, alligators, flamingos, bears, elephants, bobcats, tigers, lemurs, and zebras are just a few of the animals you'll see throughout the zoo. While you're traveling through the zoo's exhibits and attractions, take a ride on the train or stop to play at the park for even more fun.
Learn about African American history within the state of Arkansas at the Mosaic Templars Cultural Center. The exhibits at this cultural center and museum focus on the contributions made to business, politics, and arts by African American individuals. The center explores the time periods between 1870 to present day, and sheds light on how important the African American impact has been in the state, the nation and the world.
Eat, drink and experience nightlife Louisiana style at Cajun's Wharf. The restaurant and bar features live entertainment nightly, drink specials like Wine Down Wednesday and the Big Swinging Deck Party, and some serious Southern cuisine. We recommend the fried green tomatoes, crab legs, lobster tail, pasta Orleans, surf and turf, seafood gumbo, and shrimp and crawfish etoufee.
