H Street Country Club offers an average golfing experience but includes a bit of built-in challenges. The course itself isn't quite evenly maintained and there is the issue of airplane noise due to its location, but overall it offers nice views of the city and the staff is friendly. Another amenity is the great menu at the concession, so either before or after your tee time, you can enjoy a hearty meal.

The National Gallery of Art offers everything you ever wanted to know about art and presents an incredible amount of it all in one place. The Gallery's numerous exhibits and attractions stretch from the Middle Ages all the way to today. Works by da Vinci, Rembrandt, Raphael and Titian, among others, are all here. The facility proudly exhibits over 3,000 paintings, 2,000 pieces of sculpture and over 100,000 prints, drawings and other interesting pieces. Also, don't forget to spend a little time in the Sculpture Garden that can be found at the corner of 7th and Madison.

This highly accomplished group of musicians work hard all year long to present the various concerts, entertainment, and presentations on their very busy calendar. Everyone from big fans of classical music to even casual admirers will gain a deeper appreciation for the works of such masters as Beethoven, Mahler and Rachmaninoff as they are brought to life through the instruments of the members of the Capital City Symphony.

The Veterans Day Ceremony held every November draws veterans in record numbers to solemnly commemorate their fallen comrades during this highly patriotic ceremony. The President is often in attendance as well as several other political and military leaders. The ceremony is held in the amphitheater built around the Tomb of the Unknowns. Among the highly emotional parts of the ceremony are musical tributes, keynote speeches and the laying of wreaths.
