It's no secret that Glendale and its surrounding areas have been influenced by an incredible array of cultures. One of the most prevalent in the area's history and development is the Mexican culture. Aside from its food and language that have become part of the mainstream, its celebratory tradition of dance is alive and well in Glendale thanks to the efforts of the Ballet Folklorico Fiesta Mexicana. These young boys and girls are instructed in the technique and expression of dance as an extension of their Mexican heritage. The various dance recitals and productions put on by this group also tell various stories that will mesmerize all who come to experience these colorful performances.

Charley's Place is a Glendale nightlife favorite for many reasons, not the least of which is the fact that this friendly bar and grill keeps its kitchen open until 10 o'clock every night except on Sunday. Plus, the many pool tables and dart boards make it fun to hang out after work and well into the evening. There's also karaoke every Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights for all those American Idol wannabes!

Glendale's Deer Valley Rock Art Center will challenge what you know about art. In more than one way, this attraction will “rock” your world, as the center houses several unique examples of rock paintings and petroglyphs. Some of these impressive rock sculptures are displayed outside the venue, and can be seen in all their glory along the adjacent walking path. As you move along this picturesque trail, you will also be treated to the sight of a beautiful garden and an impressive amphitheater.
