Test your mettle with a heart-pounding experience at Mild to Wild Rafting Adventure, where the experienced guides will help you navigate the white water, and you'll leave with memories that will last a lifetime. Arizona is known for its early snowmelt, making it a perfect destination for whitewater rafting. The high desert scenery and wildlife make it a unique experience. You can even combine skiing and rafting. The Verde River is Arizona's only Federally designated Wild and Scenic river, and it's worth experiencing. You'll be treated to fantastic scenery and wildlife, including beaver, bear, and river otter. The rapids are perfect for guided rafting or inflatable kayaking under the supervision of our instructor.
Explore the unique experience combining music, food, and community by visiting the M3F Music Festival. By attending the Festival, you're not only enjoying great music and food, but you're also making a difference in your community. Enjoy and experience the energy and enthusiasm of people coming together in the name of music, culture, and charity. One of the Festival's standout features is the Ponderosa Vendor Village, which offers a cool and refreshing break from the desert heat. Here, you can find local vendors selling everything from swag to snacks, all inspired by the Ponderosa forests of Northern Arizona. Of course, every festival is complete with delicious food and drinks. M3F has you covered there, too, with a selection of local food trucks offering vegan, vegetarian, and gluten-free options. And remember the amazing mixologists who will be whipping up some delicious drinks.
If you're a fan of architecture or appreciate stunningly designed structures, you won't want to miss touring Taliesin West. Frank Lloyd Wright-designed this masterpiece as his private winter home, studio, and architectural campus. Its prehistoric grandeur and deep connection to the surrounding desert will captivate you. What's even more impressive is that Wright and his apprentices built and maintained the building almost entirely by hand, making it one of the most personal creations of his career. Public tours are available daily, with themed terms incorporating Wright's architectural theories also on offer. As Wright once said, his mission was to "make life more beautiful, the world a better one for living in, and to give reason, rhyme, and meaning to life." The Frank Lloyd Wright Foundation seeks to continue this legacy by inspiring people to connect with nature, the arts, and each other through architecture.
