Fresno hosts the annual Miss California Pageant during the summer in order to motivate and assist young Californian women towards achieving their goals. Each participant showcases her individual talents and also displays knowledge of current events, good communication skills and physical fitness.

Located in the center of Roeding Park, this wild attraction was originally a safe haven for abandoned exotic pets. It has grown to encompass more than 18 acres since its creation in 1929 in a log cabin.

Walk through Fresno's amazing Forestiere Underground Gardens. Designed in the style of ancient catacombs, this subterranean network showcases some of the most unique trees, shrubs and vines found in the state of California. Tours of this underground attraction are available on the hour, on a first-come first-serve basis. Bring your walking shoes and get ready to explore these unique gardens.
