Walk through Fresno's amazing Forestiere Underground Gardens. If you visit in October, be sure to look up the Big Fresno Fair. As its name suggests, this is Fresno County's big annual festival, and is actually the fifth largest fair in the state. Come by for live musical performances by local, regional, national and even international artists. The carnival and special exhibits promise all-day fun for people of all ages.

Visit Fresno County's first park. Kearney Park is 225 acres and offers picnic and outdoor sports facilities in its day-use areas. Play a game of soccer, test your skills at horseshoe, hit a few balls at the softball and baseball fields or let the children have fun on the playground. When the heat's too much, visit the Kearney Mansion Museum for some educational fun and air conditioning.

Learn about the art of winemaking as you tour the quaint A. Nonini Winery, Inc. This winery has been producing quality grapes and wines since 1921. Explore the vineyard, filled with grapes originating from Northern Italy, and the redwood tanks, used for aging wine and dating back to 1936. After your tour, sample some of the fifteen varieties of Nonini wines.
