If you visit in October, be sure to look up the Big Fresno Fair. As its name suggests, this is Fresno County's big annual festival, and is actually the fifth largest fair in the state. Come by for live musical performances by local, regional, national and even international artists. The carnival and special exhibits promise all-day fun for people of all ages.

Walk through Fresno's amazing Forestiere Underground Gardens. Designed in the style of ancient catacombs, this subterranean network showcases some of the most unique trees, shrubs and vines found in the state of California. Tours of this underground attraction are available on the hour, on a first-come first-serve basis. Bring your walking shoes and get ready to explore these unique gardens.

Check out a dramatic or comedic performance by the Good Company Players at the 2nd Space Theatre, located in Fresno's Tower District, the place to go for live theater entertainment. This little theater puts on big hits! Individual, season and mini-season tickets can be purchased online or at the box office.

Get fresh fruit and veggies grown with minimal chemical and pesticide use from Sumner Peck Ranch, just a few minutes outside of Fresno. Purchase from the fruit stands or go out into the fields and choose your own. Pick a variety of in-season foods including cherries, grapes, oranges, apples, jalapenos, lettuce, peppers, squash or pecans. Honey from the farm's hives is also available.
