A converted movie house from 1939, the Tower Theatre for the Performing Arts is currently an entertainment venue that's home to some of Fresno's best performing arts. The modern deco masterpiece acts as the anchor of the Tower District. The Tower Theatre hosts a wide variety of music, stand-up and theatrical performances throughout the year.

ArtHop provides local artists with the opportunity to showcase their work-whether traditional or contemporary-on the first and third Thursday of each month. Home to the Fresno Historical Society, the Kearney Mansion Museum can be found in Kearney Park. This historic mansion has been preserved and restored over the years, and is now considered Central Valley's most important agricultural historic site. Public tours of the mansion are available on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays. This museum offers a great look into Fresno history.
Embrace the wild at the Fresno Chaffee Zoo. You can find all sorts of exotic animals at this accredited zoo, including large cats, birds, reptiles and the popular elephants. Located in the center of Roeding Park, this wild attraction was originally a safe haven for abandoned exotic pets. It has grown to encompass more than 18 acres since its creation in 1929 in a log cabin.
