This inviting garden attraction was dedicated in April of 1981 through the generosity of Mrs. Loraine Miller Collins in memory of her husband, Earl Burns Miller. Maintained in association with California State University Long Beach, the garden attracts several visitors who marvel at its lush landscape and colorful flowers.

When your workweek has been no laughing matter, forget about it all by making plans to spend the evening at Long Beach's Laugh Factory. This popular comedy club features an impressive mix of veteran performers along with an equally interesting batch of fresh faces. Some of the comedians who have taken to the spotlight here include Mario Joyner, Kevin Nealon, and Adam Carolla, just to name a few. Reservations are recommended. There are some things you never outgrow. If one of your links to your childhood is a favorite superhero, comic book series or television show, you need to pay a visit to Long Beach's Amazing Comics. This is a veritable gold mine of memories. In addition to vintage items, collectibles and comic books, Amazing Comics more than lives up to its name by offering a deep stock of new items like apparel, action figures, toys, videos, DVDs, sports cards, dolls, hardcover books and so much more.

Jazz is the type of music that exudes class and style. So it stands to reason that a club that features this uniquely American musical genre would be just as appealing. And, Long Beach's Roscoe's Seabird Jazz Lounge most definitely is. Every Friday and Saturday night from 8 to midnight, enjoy live jazz music from the Dale Black Quartet, the venue's house band. They perform classic jazz from John Coltrane, Charlie Mingus and Miles Davis, just to name a few. In addition to a great atmosphere, a great bar selection and excellent service, the quartet also performs Sunday afternoons from 2:30 to 6:30.
