By Phil BowhayFlashback Memory is a flawed reference, but I'll bet if you suffered from Central Valley heat in the 1930s and lived anywhere between Mcfarland and Earlimart, you will remember "The Delano Plunge." Built, owned and operated by my grandfather, "Dad" Bowhay, a couple of miles south of town, this cool, clear water was about as close to a spa you could get in the San Joaquin.
