Golden Gate National Parks' beaches are among the area's most popular destinations for beach lovers. Ocean Beach most definitely falls into that category. The beach stretches three miles along the western side of the city from Richmond to Sunset. This beach perfectly exemplifies the untouched outdoor beauty of the western part of San Francisco as it looked before it was fully developed. When you take that fact into consideration, Ocean Beach is even more alluring, as the inviting sandscapes and sound of the waves will draw you in, whether the season is warm or cool. Grace Cathedral is one of San Francisco's most visually striking attractions. This neo-Gothic structure atop Nob Hill is one of the oldest churches in town. The incredibly arresting spires that sit atop the church are one of the most recognizable parts of the skyline. The Cathedral is as striking from the inside as it is on the outside, as you will sense a true sense of calm when you stand within its walls that are adorned by some of the world's most beautiful stained glass windows. The church's order is Episcopalian, but people of all faiths are always invited to come in and reflect and pray in the beautiful house of worship.

The San Francisco 49ers are part of the National Football League (NFL) and have the distinction of being the city's longest-tenured professional sports franchise. The team first hit the gridiron in 1946. They moved into Candlestick Park as their home stadium in 1971 and won five Superbowl titles in the 1980s and 1990s. The team has also produced its share of star players that include Joe Montana, Steve Young, and Jerry Rice.
