The men and women who serve on our military forces always deserve special recognition for their hard work and diligent sacrifices. San Francisco goes a step further to celebrate their efforts with Fleet Week, held every October. Families of those currently serving as well as veterans and their families are sure to enjoy the events of Fleet Week that include such attractions as an air show by the Blue Angels, Team Oracle, and the Air Force's F-16 Demonstration Team. Other events that are part of the festival include a Marine Band concert, ship tours, a fireworks display, and a parade of ships.

The Alameda Creek Regional Trail is a 12-mile long, multi-use recreation trail that winds along the banks of Alameda Creek from the mouth of Niles Canyon in the east to San Francisco Bay at its western end. Walkers, runners, and cyclists enjoy this popular, picturesque trail.

Among the two floors of this facility, you will find several exhibits and attractions that encourage several different types of interaction. Among the impressive 650 exhibits, the kids will learn about such vast subjects as science, art, and perception, just to name a few. The Exploratorium is known as the first and foremost of the world's interactive museums and has won several awards for its consistent presentation of creative exhibits that offer an exceptional level of educational value.
