McKinley Square is one of the city's most popular park areas. Because of its location on a hillside, it offers spectacular views that combine the majestic backdrop of San Francisco with the more urban realities of the various roofs of the nearby houses to give it a special kind of balance. Grace Cathedral is one of San Francisco's most visually striking attractions. This neo-Gothic structure atop Nob Hill is one of the oldest churches in town. The incredibly arresting spires that sit atop the church are one of the most recognizable parts of the skyline. The Cathedral is as striking from the inside as it is on the outside, as you will sense a true sense of calm when you stand within its walls that are adorned by some of the world's most beautiful stained glass windows. The church's order is Episcopalian, but people of all faiths are always invited to come in and reflect and pray in the beautiful house of worship.

One of the most essential sites to see in San Francisco is the Golden Gate Bridge. Getting up close to this amazing attraction, the kids will be able to see what an incredibly built structure this bridge is. The bridge connects San Francisco to Marin County, and if you are on the Marin side, you will get a captivating view from a spot called Vista Point. But given the ocean, the sailboats, and the natural landscape in and around the bridge, it is difficult to find a place where the view isn't absolutely stunning.

If your kids are always curious about the world around them, then their trip to San Francisco's Exploratorium will lead them to lots of answers in a truly fun and educational way. Among the two floors of this facility, you will find several exhibits and attractions that encourage several different types of interaction. Among the impressive 650 exhibits, the kids will learn about such vast subjects as science, art, and perception, just to name a few. The Exploratorium is known as the first and foremost of the world's interactive museums and has won several awards for its consistent presentation of creative exhibits that offer an exceptional level of educational value.
