Striking out is a good thing when the whole family heads out to Pacific Avenue Bowl. This is one of Stockton's favorite places for great family fun. This bowling facility has been one of the city's most iconic attractions, as it has had its doors (and bowling lanes) open since 1958. With the arrival of June also comes the arrival of one of Northern California's premier county fairs, the San Joaquin County Fair. Everyone looks forward to this festival as it is five full days of fun, music, food and frivolity. A big-name concert is always the center point of the action, but the fair offers plenty of other great activities that include a carnival, a livestock show, plenty of fun and interactive exhibits.

You'll be immediately struck by the scenic waterfront attraction and all the boats that are docked here. Also, there is some excellent art and various other displays to enjoy at the Joan Darrah Promenade, so make sure you take the time to stop in.
