When November finally trots around, Clearwater running enthusiasts know that the Times Turkey Trot will soon be getting underway. This is the largest running event in the Tampa Bay, drawing nearly 16,000 participants. This road race is for competitive runners, recreational runners and walkers of all ages. When you pay your entry fee, you'll get a t-shirt. Trophies are awarded to the top finishers and all the proceeds go to help local charities. Additionally, non-perishable food items are collected the day of the race and are donated to a local food pantry.

Clearwater's dazzling natural beauty is well worth celebrating. You can do that by booking your trip on board the Sunset Celebration Cruise. The cruise departs from Clearwater Bay through Clearwater Pass and into the Gulf of Mexico, touring the most beautiful waters surrounding Florida. The Clearwater Historical Society consistently puts forth its various efforts in the conservation, research and use of the area's past. They do this by recovering and preserving various historical artifacts, relics and documentation. The organization also provides its services to other museums and educational institutions. The Society also maintains the Plumb House Museum on its property that offers free admission to visitors who want to come and dig deeper into Clearwater's history.
