The Clearwater Historical Society consistently puts forth its various efforts in the conservation, research and use of the area's past. They do this by recovering and preserving various historical artifacts, relics and documentation. The organization also provides its services to other museums and educational institutions. The Society also maintains the Plumb House Museum on its property that offers free admission to visitors who want to come and dig deeper into Clearwater's history.

Don't let the small size of the Clearwater Marine Aquarium fool you. This highly interesting attraction is very big on ensuring the survival of marine life in the area. While offering visitors the chance to see marine fauna, the aquarium also is a facility in which injured animals go through an extensive rehabilitation process before returning to their natural habitats. Visitors learn about ecology and how important it is to respect the wildlife that inhabit it. Some of the creatures that you'll see here include sharks, otters, dolphins, and stingrays. There's nothing quite like a case of the blues. It's no fun when you have it alone, but when you get together with fellow blues enthusiasts at the annual Knology Sea-Blues Festival, the blues are most definitely worth celebrating. The two day festival, usually held in May, features a variety of regionally and nationally recognized blues artists. This event is free to the public.
