The Pinellas County African American History Museum dramatically underscores the contributions of the African American culture through the use of various exhibits that present artifacts and other items of interest. This two-hour excursion is associated with the Clearwater Marine Aquarium and provides participants the chance to look for dolphins, sea birds and other marine life as one of the aquarium staff member narrates the scenic ride to a shell island. Located a block from the beach, this is an extension of Bobby Heilman's main restaurant and offers delicious a la carte dining in four separate dining rooms. The wine bar is the obvious highlight, as its extensive inventory includes more than 20,000 bottles. The menu is equally impressive, featuring such delicious fare as sherry garlic shrimp, a half-rack of JamAsian baby back ribs and gourmet pizzas.
