The Preserve

The Francis Wilson Playhouse continues to preserve the tradition of classic stage performance in Clearwater. This vintage entertainment venue balances its impressive heritage with a hint of modern flourishes while never betraying the artistic integrity of the playwrights, performers and directors who create what is eventually presented on stage. The theater boasts some of the best and most respected actors in the area who have worked hard to build a reputation for the best local theater experience in Clearwater.

It's a screamin' good time aboard the Sea Screamer, the world's largest speedboat. Hop aboard for a one-hour cruise along the Gulf, where you'll see plenty of dolphins frolicking in the waves. The tour guides will even point out the waterfront homes of Hollywood royalty as you cruise by.

When November finally trots around, Clearwater running enthusiasts know that the Times Turkey Trot will soon be getting underway. This is the largest running event in the Tampa Bay, drawing nearly 16,000 participants. This road race is for competitive runners, recreational runners and walkers of all ages. When you pay your entry fee, you'll get a t-shirt. Trophies are awarded to the top finishers and all the proceeds go to help local charities. Additionally, non-perishable food items are collected the day of the race and are donated to a local food pantry.
