The Museum of Fine Arts houses an incredibly far-reaching collection of art from around the world that spans several historical and artistic eras. The kids will love seeing the aquatic life and learning about their rehabilitation when you visit the Clearwater Marine Aquarium. This unassuming facility serves as both a rehabilitation facility for animals as well as an educational facility where visitors can learn more about ecology and role which wildlife plays in it through fascinating exhibits and attractions. The kids will be excited to see such creatures as sea turtles, sharks, otters, dolphins and sting rays.
Pirates of every shape, size and color descend on St. Petersburg's Vinoy Park every November for the Florida Pirate Festival. This event showcases various forms of interactive theater that celebrate the legendary Caribbean pirate tradition. The park becomes overrun with all things pirate, but also manages to include music, rides, comedy, cannons, storytelling, artisan crafts, nighttime fire shows and great food as well as a plethora of pirates!
