Go on a four-hour adventure packed with sun, surf and history when you take the Egmont Key Snorkeling from St. Pete Beach. As you travel through the clear blue waters off of St. Pete Beach, you will begin to embark on a unique adventure that will allow you to explore the remains of Fort Dade which dates back to the Spanish-American War. You will also visit the historic island of Egmont Key that is home to the National Wildlife Refuge. Another highlight is the lighthouse that was constructed in 1848. Fans of Indy Car action look forward to the Firestone Grand Prix of St. Petersburg held every late March or early April. In addition to the Indy Car race, there is also an Indy Pro race and an American Le Mans Series race, all held on a waterfront track in downtown St. Petersburg.
