Brooker Creek is one of the top parks in the St. Petersburg area. Pirates of every shape, size and color descend on St. Petersburg's Vinoy Park every November for the Florida Pirate Festival. This event showcases various forms of interactive theater that celebrate the legendary Caribbean pirate tradition. The park becomes overrun with all things pirate, but also manages to include music, rides, comedy, cannons, storytelling, artisan crafts, nighttime fire shows and great food as well as a plethora of pirates!

The American Stage Theatre Company is considered to be the best theater organization in the area, and with good reason. It was founded in 1977 and has been staging impressive productions that feature the talents of area actors, directors and technicians. American Stage features a wide variety of entertainment that ranges from dramatic classics to the cutting edge as well as everything from musicals to Shakespeare. There are performances offered all year long as well as the popular "American Stage in the Park" in the Spring.

If you like wine, then you owe it to yourself to visit the Florida Orange Groves Winery. And there's no doubt that you will soon become a fan of their wine made from tropical fruit. Your glass will be filled with something truly different, interesting and delightful when you sample these unique flavors. And carrot wine? You won't believe how good it is until you taste it.
