Fans of Indy Car action look forward to the Firestone Grand Prix of St. Petersburg held every late March or early April. In addition to the Indy Car race, there is also an Indy Pro race and an American Le Mans Series race, all held on a waterfront track in downtown St. Petersburg. This unassuming facility serves as both a rehabilitation facility for animals as well as an educational facility where visitors can learn more about ecology and role which wildlife plays in it through fascinating exhibits and attractions. The kids will be excited to see such creatures as sea turtles, sharks, otters, dolphins and sting rays.
