Luckily, these places were saved and moved to this location which features two dozen structures that include a store, a church, a school, an outhouse and several private residences from yesteryear that are still very much a part of today.

The Salvador Dali Museum is a worthwhile day trip to St. Petersburg from Tampa. The museum holds the largest Dali collection outside of Spain. You'll be astonished to see the huge giant canvases painted with colorful fantastical dream like imagery, straight from the famous artist's head. When you and your date stroll from one exhibit to another, you will be seeing pieces that make up the world's most extensive collection of Dali's work.

Go on a four-hour adventure packed with sun, surf and history when you take the Egmont Key Snorkeling from St. Pete Beach. As you travel through the clear blue waters off of St. Pete Beach, you will begin to embark on a unique adventure that will allow you to explore the remains of Fort Dade which dates back to the Spanish-American War. You will also visit the historic island of Egmont Key that is home to the National Wildlife Refuge. Another highlight is the lighthouse that was constructed in 1848. Then, you can enjoy a big splash with the opportunity to snorkel, swim, or just stay on board the ship and relax.
