Many people yearn for the good old days when things were simpler. Instead of yearning for them, you can actually travel back to them when you visit Heritage Village. Luckily, these places were saved and moved to this location which features two dozen structures that include a store, a church, a school, an outhouse and several private residences from yesteryear that are still very much a part of today.

Go on a four-hour adventure packed with sun, surf and history when you take the Egmont Key Snorkeling from St. Pete Beach. As you travel through the clear blue waters off of St. Pete Beach, you will begin to embark on a unique adventure that will allow you to explore the remains of Fort Dade which dates back to the Spanish-American War. You will also visit the historic island of Egmont Key that is home to the National Wildlife Refuge. Another highlight is the lighthouse that was constructed in 1848. Then, you can enjoy a big splash with the opportunity to snorkel, swim, or just stay on board the ship and relax.

Nature lovers will appreciate the unique natural desolation that makes Anclote Key so special. This island off the coast of Tarpon Springs is a four-mile stretch of Florida beach that has not been overdeveloped or commercialized and still retains its stunning natural beauty. Offering such natural attractions as several different types of bird species, the island is open for day use and on the north end you'll find an excellent place to enjoy overnight camping. You can get to this outdoor paradise courtesy of a 10-minute boat ride from the mainland.
