Pirates of every shape, size and color descend on St. Petersburg's Vinoy Park every November for the Florida Pirate Festival. This event showcases various forms of interactive theater that celebrate the legendary Caribbean pirate tradition. The park becomes overrun with all things pirate, but also manages to include music, rides, comedy, cannons, storytelling, artisan crafts, nighttime fire shows and great food as well as a plethora of pirates!

If you like wine, then you owe it to yourself to visit the Florida Orange Groves Winery. And there's no doubt that you will soon become a fan of their wine made from tropical fruit. Your glass will be filled with something truly different, interesting and delightful when you sample these unique flavors. And carrot wine? You won't believe how good it is until you taste it. The kids will love the freedom that will allow them to explore the world around them. They'll have fun learning about music, science and art. They can even design their own car, learn about sailing or learn details about how the human body works. Kids of all ages will love both the high and low tech exhibits that are as fun as they are educational.

The Museum of Fine Arts houses an incredibly far-reaching collection of art from around the world that spans several historical and artistic eras. You'll encounter over 18,000 works here, and these include some of the world's most seminal creations by such artists as Monet, Renoir, O'Keeffe, Bellows and Hassaam. Additionally, you'll see some of the most compelling exhibits that illustrate Greek, Egyptian, Asian, African, pre-Columbian, and Native American art. There's also a great cafe and gift shop that perfectly round out your visit.
