If you feel the need for speed, then make a beeline to the Festivals of Speed that is held every February in St. Petersburg. This revved-up three-day festival presents the finest in jets, planes, helicopters, yachts, motorcycles and cars that are all designed to raise adrenaline levels. In addition to these luxurious exhibitions, gourmet foods and premium cocktails add an even higher level of distinctive flavor to the fast-paced proceedings.
The injuries sustained by various birds in the area are seen as just temporary by the caring professionals at the Suncoast Bird Sanctuary. This prominent avian hospital rehabilitates thousands of feathered creatures who need a little extra care. Creatures from birds to raptors are treated and then released, but several of the injured specimens make their permanent home here. The sanctuary has gotten lots of attention for breeding Eastern brown pelicans in captivity. As many as 500 "patients" can occupy the facility at one time. When you visit this attraction, you can see an impressive variety of winged creatures that include herons, egrets, cormorants, seagulls and more.
In Shore Fishing Charters knows how frustrating it can be to get your tackle, bait and rod out to your favorite fishing spot and come back with nothing to show for your efforts. That's why their motto is "no fish, no pay!" This recreation excursion is designed for the whole family and will guide you through the Tampa Bay area on a quest for tarpon, sharks, snook, redfish, grouper, king mackerel and more. But remember, no fish, no pay!
