The Tampa Bay Rays are a Major League Baseball team based in St. Petersburg and are a member of the Eastern Division of MLB's American League. In 2008 they won their first division title and won the pennant. Since 2007 the sports team has had four straight winning seasons and three playoff appearances. They play their home games at Tropicana Field.

There's no doubt that the kids definitely love the beach. But when the whole family needs a little break from the sun to cool off, head to the Pier Aquarium for a fun and educational place to seek shelter from the sun. This particular pier attracts over two million visitors a year and is actually an iconic landmark with its inverted pyramid shape that cuts into the Tampa Bay skyline.
