There's no doubt that the kids definitely love the beach. But when the whole family needs a little break from the sun to cool off, head to the Pier Aquarium for a fun and educational place to seek shelter from the sun. This particular pier attracts over two million visitors a year and is actually an iconic landmark with its inverted pyramid shape that cuts into the Tampa Bay skyline. The Salvador Dali Museum is a worthwhile day trip to St. Petersburg from Tampa. The museum holds the largest Dali collection outside of Spain. You'll be astonished to see the huge giant canvases painted with colorful fantastical dream like imagery, straight from the famous artist's head. Bring swimsuits to swim and build sandcastles at one of the nearby beautiful beaches that St. Pete is famous for.
