The Salvador Dali Museum is a worthwhile day trip to St. Petersburg from Tampa. The museum holds the largest Dali collection outside of Spain. The Museum of Fine Arts houses an incredibly far-reaching collection of art from around the world that spans several historical and artistic eras. You'll encounter over 18,000 works here, and these include some of the world's most seminal creations by such artists as Monet, Renoir, O'Keeffe, Bellows and Hassaam. Additionally, you'll see some of the most compelling exhibits that illustrate Greek, Egyptian, Asian, African, pre-Columbian, and Native American art. There's also a great cafe and gift shop that perfectly round out your visit.

This fun donut shop is decidedly retro and prides itself in serving up donuts the way you remember them. The shop has been successfully doing business in St. Petersburg for many years and in addition to their donuts, they offer breakfast sandwiches and coffee all at reasonable prices. But of course, the donuts are the main attractions and with over 20 different varieties, you're sure to find a dozen that's just perfect for you!

The Tampa Bay Lightning is Tampa Bay's professional hockey team that is part of the Eastern Conference of the NHL. Fans are treated to action-packed games that offer special theme nights and promotions that include special ticket prices and various other giveaways. The Tampa Bay Lightning proudly won the Stanley Cup at the end of the 2003-2004 season. The sports team's home games are played at the St. Pete Times Forum in Tampa.
