Enter Terrace Hill, a magnificent mansion located in Des Moines, built by Iowa's first millionaire Benjamin Franklin Allen. The rambling Napoleon-style, 18,000 square foot mansion sits grandly on a hill overlooking the capital city. Besides being a museum, the mansion is host to state dinners and receptions.
Splat hard at ICU Paintball and enjoy some recreational warfare as you play indoor paintball and avoid long field waits, mud, rain or foggy goggles. Be sure to wear a sweatshirt with a hoodie over it and a comfortable pair of jeans and hit the field like a sneaky disappearing chess piece in order to take cover and avoid being hit.
The show must go on at the Des Moines Playhouse, where you can see award-wining modern works, hilarious comedy, and outlandish musicals! You'll sing, laugh and enjoy great live theater that delights in offering plays made famous the world over on many a Broadway stage. You'll also find exceptional Children's Theatre productions.
Step out and step into the 1960s nightlife at The High Life Lounge. Yes, there's genuine shag carpet, Formica bar top, vintage wall paper, wood paneling and classic Miller High Life beer signs hanging everywhere! How can you not spend nights out on the town at a tavern like this?
