There are 4 recreation trails to choose from that will take you on a journey of tight twists around lush woodlands in the heart of the capital city. You'll appreciate the challenging trails to hike or ride your bike on that give you a sense of accomplishment when you've completed the trail.  Choose From 4 Trails: Center Trails, Sycamore Trails, Seven Oaks Trails, Summerset/Banner Lakes Trails.

The "Age of Enlightenment" is about to dawn on the Des Moines Renaissance Faire for three weeks of royal jester fun and games and food! Public Art is on tour at The Pappajohn Sculpture Park located in Des Moines. Discover sculptures by Willem de Kooning and Louise Bourgeois as well as other world-renowned sculptures valued at more than forty million dollars. The public donation by Mr. and Ms. Pappajohn is the largest in the state's history.
