When KC’s original symphony orchestra was dissolved in 1982, the philanthropist R. Crosby Kemper Jr. insisted on creating the Kansas City Symphony. Since its formation, this new symphony orchestra has served as a vital part of the music community. Listen to their music at a show or sample before you purchase tickets by hearing their music on the radio or a CD.

Open from April through November, these romantic gondola rides travel down the relaxing waterway in the Country Club Plaza. Located in the Liberty Memorial, the National World War 1 Museum dedicates its space to preserving the artifacts and memorabilia from WWI. Appointed by Congress as America’s official WWI museum, you will encounter exhibits filled with photographs, propaganda posters, maps, uniforms, guns and even a Renault FT-17 tank. Learn what life was like during this time period through interactive displays and honor the soldiers who lost their lives at the memorial.
