Head to the western suburbs for a day to Wonderscope Children’s Museum of Kansas City. Discover the wonders of education in this converted elementary school. Every room has a different theme, from space to physics to arts and crafts and more! Children of all ages (and children at heart) will love the exhibits at this fun, entertaining museum.

Bring the kids (and adults) out to Deanna Rose Children’s Farmstead to learn about life on a turn-of-the-century farm. This unique zoo contains over 200 animals found on farms throughout the nation, many of which are featured in the Petting Zoo. Gather freshly-laid eggs, milk a cow, bottle-feed a baby goat, ride a pony and more on this fun, interactive and educational farm.

Relax to the smooth, soothing sounds of jazz spilling out of The Blue Room. Run by the American Jazz Museum, this entertainment venue is a true tribute to the classic sounds of jazz and blues. Great for groups, the Blue Room offers a cool, rich and lively atmosphere Monday through Saturday.

Attending a show at the Folly Theater can hardly be considered a folly. First opened in 1900, this theater venue has a rich past and well-preserved architecture.
