Various multimedia exhibits and attractions, artifacts, photographs and interactive presentations are used to illustrate the importance of the people and the events that have all been a part of the state's uncompromising history.

The Missouri River flows through the northeastern border of Kansas and actually travels through ten states. The section of the river that runs through Topeka is popular as it attracts families who are out to enjoy a day of fun in the sun that includes recreation like fishing, swimming and boating.

The Kansas Silent Film Festival is by no means a quiet affair. This yearly event celebrates the art and history of silent films from all over the world. Movie makers convene here to not only offer screenings of their latest works but to also participate in panel discussions about the technical and creative aspects of movie making. This free event is held every February.
