Preacher’s Ride  

The Kansas Silent Film Festival is by no means a quiet affair. This yearly event celebrates the art and history of silent films from all over the world. Movie makers convene here to not only offer screenings of their latest works but to also participate in panel discussions about the technical and creative aspects of movie making. This free event is held every February.

When you visit Lake Shawnee, you can expect to have some great fun outdoors either sunbathing, fishing or enjoying a picnic on the shore. But you may not have expected such excellent amenities as the nearby Garden House, Reynolds Lodge, a marina, tennis courts, volleyball courts, campgrounds and even a golf course. They also offer a great selection of games and movies, too.

This popular bowling facility features a cool retro charm while offering state-of-the-art scoring and an equally impressive video game arcade.
