The White Concert Hall in Topeka is found on the Washburn University campus and is fittingly the home of the school's music department. Located 31 miles southeast of Topeka, this 4,000-square-foot lake is not only the perfect setting for a family outing or picnic but also you can take a swim or go boating and fishing. The lake is known for being an excellent place to catch such fish as crappie and channel catfish. So grab the family, get some sunscreen and get ready to catch a great time out at Pomona Lake.

Kids love constant activity, and the Oakland Mouse Trap Skate Park in Topeka is an attraction where no one gets the chance to sit still for long. This impressive facility features over 400 cubic yards of concrete in various shapes and angles that will challenge even the most accomplished skateboarders. Safety is always emphasized as boarders are required to wear a helmet when on the course. There is also a separate play space for 2 to 5-year-olds.
