The Independence Park Theatre strives for the freedom of self expression, and judging from the very packed list of events, they seem to be reaching that goal quite often. Concerts, plays, musicals, dance recitals, pageants, lectures, graduations, seminars, workshops and conferences have all taken place at this all-purpose entertainment venue since it opened its doors in 2001. Also, within its walls is where the Louisiana Art and Artists' Guild makes its home, and there, the tradition of self expression continues as you will find several exhibits throughout the year.

Want to relax and play it cool? Then play some pool! Click's in Baton Rouge is the local favorite for billiards and a whole lot more. They tout themselves as the party headquarters, with great drink specials and a great selection at the bar. Numerous pool tables, foosball tables and other gaming opportunities make it obvious that Clicks is serious about the game!

Make a big splash at Baton Rouge's Blue Bayou Water Park. The kids will love the fast-paced action as they can experience the gravity-defying rush of Azuka, the world's largest tornado slide. There are more dizzying rides and attractions like water racers, sled slides and the biggest in-line water slide you've ever seen. The park is also equipped with a fully-stocked concession stand and shaded area to relax and wade around in the children's area. To paraphrase the song, you and your family will never be blue at Blue Bayou.

Crawfish is synonymous with Louisiana, so celebrate that fact at the Breaux Bridge Crawfish Festival. Held every year, the gathering is considered to be one of the best food festivals in the whole country. Great family fun, live music, and lots of crawfish! Make sure you have some cool water or beverage for all the spicy fun.
