The Independence Park Theatre strives for the freedom of self expression, and judging from the very packed list of events, they seem to be reaching that goal quite often. Concerts, plays, musicals, dance recitals, pageants, lectures, graduations, seminars, workshops and conferences have all taken place at this all-purpose entertainment venue since it opened its doors in 2001. Also, within its walls is where the Louisiana Art and Artists' Guild makes its home, and there, the tradition of self expression continues as you will find several exhibits throughout the year.

Are you a history buff and a collector? Hidden treasures await you at Little Wars, a unique store that specializes in science fiction and fantasy items. Also, you'll find lots of military and Civil War memorabilia that will be a must for your collection. Miniatures, books, and lots of other one-of-a-kind items are all waiting for you to discover at Little Wars.

It doesn't matter if you're in from out of town or live in Baton Rouge with your sweetheart, a nice getaway is only as far away as the Stockade Bed and Breakfast. The charming ambiance and scenic location make it the perfect destination. If your respective schedules make it difficult for the two of you to coordinate a vacation, or if your budget requires you two to take a "stay-cation" this year, a night or two at the Stockade Bed and Breakfast is the perfect romantic detour.
