It is a portal to the future of film making in Shreveport, with special programs designed to create interest and awareness in the art of movie making and all that goes into their production and marketing. Various summer camps, lectures and seminars are held to bring this fascinating field to those interested in developing their talents in front of or behind the camera. Also, the Robinson Film Center does offer the chance to screen new releases, which sometimes include artier films that don't get shown in the commercial multiplexes.

With its spectacular 35 foot tall steel roses, a 300 foot long floating dock and the omnipresent Red River, it is one of the city's premier places to take in all of nature's wonders.

Looking for a fun nightlife spot you and your buddies can escape to and take a break from the kids and the office? How about the Sand Bar? It's a guy's guy bar, with beer from all over the world, pool tables, basket ball hoops, beer pong, and a DJ spinning your favorite songs. It's all spread out over three floors, with video screens everywhere running the latest sporting events from all over the country. If you don't have a man-cave at home, the Sand Bar can be your home away from home!

Whether you wish to walk along the shores of Cross Lake or take a boat out for a sail, the aquatic scenery and fresh air will help to create the perfect scenario for a romantic date. If you're out around sunset, don't forget to bring your camera, as the Shreveport twilights are unbelievably picturesque.
