Enjoy a performance by the tight-knit ensemble at Dreamcatcher Repertory Theatre in an intimate venue. On the third floor of the Van Houten Library at the New Jersey Institute of technology is the Weston Museum, a rare museum devoted to Edward Weston. A contemporary and rival of Thomas Edison’s, Weston was a well-known scientist and inventor of his time, as well as a founding member of the university. View photographs and artifacts from his laboratory in this display.

Hike along part of the Lenape Trail, a 34-mile trail extending from Newark’s Military Park to west of the Passaic River. This unique recreation trail links dozens of other parks, rail trails and historical landmarks throughout Essex County. One of the most popular sections includes the path in Brook Branch Park lined by gorgeous cherry blossom trees.
