The Irish take pride in many things, but one of the most obvious is their penchant for celebrations that feature lots of their favorite ale. This special nightlife destination was established as a working man's saloon in 1933 on historic Tipperary Hill and while it has grown in size since then, it still maintains a great small pub atmosphere. Syracuse's Landmark Theatre truly lives up to its name. This venue originally opened its doors in 1928 and stands as New York's last remaining Depression-era cinema that is still in operation. The theater became popular for its double bill of a movie and a live show. Facing problems in 1977, the foundering venue was rescued by investors who got it listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Today, not only can visitors enjoy the latest in concerts, plays and other great live entertainment, they can also tour this classic, Thomas Lamb-designed theater attraction.

Visiting Sainte Marie Among the Iroquois is like watching a history book come to life. Be transported back to the 1600s when the local Iroquois tribe invited the French to build a mission on the banks of Onondaga Lake. The site is now a living history museum that features an interpretive center with actors in period costumes who talk about what their lives are like at the mission in 1650. They also demonstrate daily activities of the time that include carpentry, blacksmithing, cooking and more.

The Syracuse Crunch is part of the American Hockey League and is an affiliate of the Anaheim Ducks. The team plays their home games in the War Memorial at Oncenter. The sports team's popular orange colors are worn proudly by many fans who show an obvious level of enthusiasm and support for this team.
