The Community Folk Art Gallery is unique for many reasons. While it strives to present the work of African-American artists as well as other under represented ethnic groups in Central New York, it also features a striking common thread among the pieces that are on display. That theme is one of constant struggle against seemingly insurmountable odds that was no doubt the inspiration for many of the art works that are collected here. It's a museum filled with a curious balance of drama and triumph that will prove to be great conversation-starters when you make this museum the site of your romantic date.

Syracuse's Thornden Park offers a little something for everyone. If you are ready to either watch or be a part of the big football game, the park features an impressive multipurpose athletic field that's perfectly suited for football, soccer or lacrosse. There are also four tennis courts and a swimming pool. The smaller kids will love the more traditional swings, slides, seesaws and climbing bars. Or, if you prefer, you can just sit outdoors and admire the beautifully maintained rose garden.

If it's a big concert, a great dramatic production, or a high-profile convention and it's happening in Syracuse, there's a good chance that it's on–at the OnCenter. This incredibly stylish and state of the art venue is equipped to handle a variety of entertainment events. And, no matter where your seats are in the arena, in the theater, or in one of the large meeting/reception rooms, you can be sure that the event is completely “on” if it's on the schedule at the OnCenter!

Tee off in style–despite the size of the course–when you take the whole family out for a great day of fun at Fairmount Glen Miniature Golf. This attraction has been a Syracuse tradition for over 60 years. The course is as challenging as it is fun, and the kids will love trying to make that nearly impossible shot! The venue offers a friendly, relaxed atmosphere that also gets rave notices for not only being well maintained, but also for its very friendly staff. Plus, don't forget to stop in to visit the concession stand for a tasty treat before or after your game.
