This highly unique arts facility in Armory Square features year round presentations in contemporary theater, independent and documentary film, music and fine art. Also, aspiring local, national and international artists frequently have their work spotlighted in this innovative yet intimate venue.
Syracuse's Niagara Mohawk Building is listed on the National Register of Historic Places as an outstanding example of Art Deco architecture and a symbol of the Age of Electricity. This building was completed in 1932 and was the original home of the nation's largest power utility company that is now a division of National Grid plc. Tours are available by request.
Lovers of the outdoors will not want to miss the chance to experience Beaver Lake Nature Center. Located a short 15-minute drive northwest of Syracuse in Baldwinsville, the center features 9 miles of trails that offer the opportunity to see over 200 species of birds and over 800 varieties of plants. Also, the 200-acre glacial lake is a true wonder to behold. During the warmer months, you can choose to get a closer look at the lake's natural beauty by exploring from a canoe.
