Lock 3 Park
Get out to Lock 3 Park for some fun at this outdoor amphitheater known as Akron’s hub of outdoor excitement. Pack a blanket and a picnic, and you are set to enjoy the show! From May through September, jam out to weekend concerts under the open skies, Akron's biggest festivals, and a large number of community events, including the City of Akron's official 4th of July fireworks display. Hower House | National Historic Landmark
Step back in time at the Hower House, a 28-room Victorian Mansion built in 1871 by John Henry Hower. This Akron Industrialist’s mansion remained well preserved and eventually was declared a National Historic Landmark. Akrona Galleries
You may be surprised by what you find in the Akrona Galleries. This unassuming Tudor home, the historic Ayres Estate, was built in 1916 and has since been transformed into one of the most eclectic galleries. Filled with all types of contemporary artwork, you can find paintings, sculptures, glasswork and other art pieces from throughout these renovated rooms. Certain works from the selection of international, national and locally recognized artists are even for sale!
