Located in Cuyahoga Valley National Park, the Hale Farm & Village was originally the homestead of Jonathan Hale in 1825. The current historic property has been developed into a living history museum surrounded by a recreated village called Wheatfield, with first-person narrations, time-frame reenactments and demonstrations about 19th century daily life.
Step back in time at the Hower House, a 28-room Victorian Mansion built in 1871 by John Henry Hower. This Akron Industrialist’s mansion remained well preserved and eventually was declared a National Historic Landmark.
