Get out to Lock 3 Park for some fun at this outdoor amphitheater known as Akron’s hub of outdoor excitement. Pack a blanket and a picnic, and you are set to enjoy the show!  From May through September, jam out to weekend concerts under the open skies, Akron's biggest festivals, and a large number of community events, including the City of Akron's official 4th of July fireworks display.  Winter is also a blast with a host of attractions that include Ohio's largest seasonal outdoor ice skating rink, Reindeer Run sledding hill, holiday shopping, Breakfast's with Santa, Polar Putt-Putt and more. Winter is kicked-off every year with the Downtown Holiday Lighting Ceremony exploding the night sky with fireworks.

Tickle your funny bone at the Funny Stop Comedy Club. Located in the Smith Centre, this comedy club is open five nights a week for people to kick back, relax and laugh themselves silly. Stop by for amateur stand-ups, open mic nights and special guest star performances–including stars from Comedy Central!

Don’t have time to leave the city? Escape the urban hustle and bustle at the Seiberling Nature Realm, located in Sand Run Metro Parks. Find peace and tranquility in the great outdoors as you walk the pathway meandering through the trees; learn about the horticulture and wildlife of the Akron area in the Visitors Center; observe the animal activity on a naturalist walk; and much, much more!

The winds of fortune seem to always blow in the right direction for the Weathervane Community Playhouse. This community-based playhouse produces some of the county’s best high-quality, diverse and challenging performing arts pieces and entertainment. Watch an excellent play put on by dedicated actors and volunteers at this community treasure.
